Lekeso and Tazkar Space Requests

Our parish house and hall facilities are available to active members during times of family loss (Lekeso) and memorial services (Tazkar). So that our church properties are respected and properly maintained, members are asked to review and agree to the facility terms and submit a request before use.

1. Space usage guidelines

  • Eligibility. Available to active, registered members of the parish and their immediate family.
  • Approved events.
Lekeso (bereavement gatherings) — hosting family, clergy and guests for prayer and condolences following a loss.
Tazkar (memorial services) — post-liturgy memorial gatherings, prayer services and luncheons.
  • Conduct and church laws. All gatherings on church grounds must reflect the values, sanctity and doctrines of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. Alcohol, illegal substances, inappropriate conduct, or behaviour violating church laws are strictly prohibited.
  • Scheduling. Priority is given to immediate Lekeso arrangements. All requests are confirmed subject to availability and the liturgical calendar.
If you have suffered a bereavement and need the hall urgently, please call the church office on (209) 331-3916 rather than waiting for a reply to this form.

Terms, damage and conduct liability

By checking the box below and submitting this request, I confirm that I am an active member requesting the use of church facilities, and I agree to the following terms.

  1. Adherence to church laws. All guests will conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the faith, sanctity and rules of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. Smoking, alcohol consumption, non-Orthodox religious services and disorderly conduct are strictly prohibited on church grounds.
  2. Property cleanliness. I am responsible for leaving the facility clean, removing rubbish, and restoring furniture to its original layout immediately following the event.
  3. Liability for loss or damage. The church is not responsible for lost personal property. I accept full personal and financial responsibility for any damage, breakage, missing property or excessive cleaning costs caused to the church house, furniture or appliances during my reserved time.
  4. Cancellation or termination. The church administration reserves the right to end an event immediately if church laws, safety protocols or parish rules are violated.
